Taking the designs from conception to reality. Working alongside the designer, ensuring great levels of communication, a shared vision and healthy collaborative working practices throughout. A varied cast, so a strong understanding of costuming varied bodies and sensitive costuming practices were vital. Role included sourcing and altering costumes accordingly, organising and running fittings, budget management and creation of Costume Bible paperwork.

Working on large-scale productions, dressing various performers such as permanent chorus members, children and circus performers and adapting to fit their personal dressing needs and working practices. Dealing with any costume issues and ensuring they go on stage looking as needed.

Dominion Theatre

Principal dresser on an existing large-scale West End musical, with a very large cast and company of over 154. Joined with a short handover. Fast learning and empathetic approach to slotting in to an existing show, costume track and understanding interpersonal dynamics was imperative. Carrying out costume track, quick-changes and ensuring upkeep of costumes. Dealt with the costumes in preparation and during the filming of the production for future distribution, ensuring costumes were up to standard for filming (e.g. for close-up camera shots). Adapting to cut shows due to illnesses and Covid-based absences.

Dressing principal artists on a large-scale West End musical. Looking after the artists, their costuming needs and the costumes themselves. Creating a dresser plot for my costume track, including carrying out quick-changes. Ensuring that costumes are looking as they should, being worn as intended and dealing with any maintenance issues and cleaning needs. Maintaining an extremely good eye for detail, great teamwork and friendly disposition.

Managing the costumes through the performance run of 96 performances. In charge of costume maintenance, laundry and ironing, aiding actors with quick-changes, as well as working backstage as ASM, working the fly system, costume and prop pre-setting, and prop, flats and set piece management and movement.

Charlotte: A Tri-Coloured Play with Music (international touring production)

Directed and Designed by Pamela Howard, Produced by Theaturtle, Toronto.

Acting as Assistant Costume Supervisor and ASM during the rehearsals and prior to touring, as well as assisting the scenographer. During rehearsals and tour, was the sole carer of the costumes, in charge of running wardrobe. Duties included costume sourcing, alterations, creating the costume and running-wardrobe bible, fittings, costume maintenance and laundry, breaking-down and aging costumes, dressing and quick-changes, pre-setting costumes prior to each show, production get-in and strikes in each location, assisted in running rehearsals, in charge of backstage activities, overseeing prop and set action during performances.
